The big St. Galgano’s Abbey was built between 1220 and 1268, when in Italy the Romanesque style was merging with the newborn French Gothic style.

The Abbey’s shape is the classic Latin cross.

We find it impossible to describe the beauty of this abbey, so we’ll let the pictures to speak in our place.
